NEW PAPER SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Grenoble, March 30th, 2020
Dear valued members of the IEEE SSCS and EDS communities, colleagues, friends, intending authors,
Together with our mother IEEE Societies, SSCS and EDS, ESSCIRC-ESSDERC is closely monitoring developments related to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our members is the number one priority of our societies. As of today March the 30th, 2020, one third of the Global population is under severe confinement, as a result of the protective public health measures imposed by the different governments, states or provinces. We have received many requests for paper-submission delay, because a very large number of research institutions and companies are working under particular virtual conditions, and the access to lab facilities for testing is forbidden.
Given this exceptional worldwide situation, we have decided to postpone the paper submission deadline for ESSCIRC-ESSDERC2020.
The paper submission website is open as of today (https://www.esscirc-essderc2020.org/papers-submission), and you are strongly encouraged to submit papers or abstracts under one of the following 2 formats:
Either a full 4-pages paper (camera-ready final version) (https://epapers.org/ess2020/ESR/samples.php?PHPSESSID=02e71rto482iqheoasm822jh01)
Or a 1-page format which must include: title, authors, a short abstract. This abstract should use the 1st page of the 4-pages IEEE template. This will permit us to monitor potential papers with incomplete data for the moment. Only the TPC chairs and technical staff managing the submission site have access to submitted papers and abstracts for such monitoring purposes before the definitive deadline to be announced.
As soon as we can be confident that the current pandemic gets under control worldwide, we will then fix the final paper submission deadline. This date will be announced at least 3 weeks in advance, and at that moment, people who had submitted only abstracts will be kindly asked to prepare for the 4-pages final full paper.
The Technical Program Committee of ESSCIRC and ESSDERC will carry out the paper selection only based on the 4-pages final submissions.
Submitted papers and abstracts will be kept confidential under IEEE rules, and not disclosed to TPC members until the definitive submission deadline, so that authors may withdraw their submissions, if they so wish, before such a date without disclosure of their content.
The ESSCIRC-ESSDERC2020 TPC chairs, local organizing committee and the conference Steering committee are fully committed to serving and supporting the microelectronics international community in the best possible way.
We wish you all to stay in good health, and please Stay Home!
